EDWARD ORNELAS is a multi-faceted television director with a background in editing and post production. After several seasons as an editor on GREY’S ANATOMY, he was invited to direct multiple episodes of the top-rated series, including the season six premiere. He continued directing within Shondaland, including the 100th episode of
PRIVATE PRACTICE.
He recently directed the season two finale of CROSS (Amazon), a three-episode block of THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD CITY (AMC), and episodes of
CHICAGO MED (NBC) and NCIS: ORIGINS (CBS).
As a Producer/Director, he served as Executive Producer/Director on HARLAN COBEN'S SHELTER (Amazon) and Co-Executive Producer/Director on PROMISED LAND (ABC).

A.B. in English from Stanford University
and an M.F.A. in film production from
The University of Texas, Austin.
He joined the Directors Guild of America in 2009, and currently serves as an alternate on the DGA's National Board and Western Directors Council. He is a two-time co-chair of the Latino Committee.
